Even though I'm not really a blue ink person, after hearing so many people rave about Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki, I finally decided to see what all the excitement was about, and now I completely understand. Paired with my LAMY AL-star Extra Fine nib, this ink is an absolute pleasure to write with.
Kon-Peki is a stunning bright cerulean blue that manages to be vibrant without looking flashy. Even through an extra fine nib, the color stays rich and saturated while remaining crisp and easy to read. The ink flows beautifully, making the pen feel noticeably smoother with just the right amount of lubrication. It starts instantly, never skips, and has been completely reliable during long planning and journaling sessions on Tomoe River paper.
While an EF nib naturally limits shading, there's still enough subtle variation to keep the writing interesting, and the color simply pops off the page. If you're looking for a dependable everyday blue that's a step above ordinary office blues, Kon-Peki absolutely deserves its reputation. This has quickly become one of those inks I know I'll keep reaching for again and again.

This is blue ink. I think it is a must-have in your collection. It's a highly recommended ink in many fountain pen circles and I can see why. It looks fantastic in an Extra Fine nib, yet you get this depth of shading in a broad to stub nib. There aren't many inks that I've experienced that will do that and not totally jam up the finer nib.
