The Platinum Preppy fountain pen is one of the best values for the money! This is a fantastic starter fountain pen, or great for lending to a friend. This pen features a crystal clear plastic body, and a stainless steel nib. The Preppy accepts Platinum cartridges or a Platinum converter to fill with bottled ink. It comes with one black ink cartridge. The Platinum converter is sold separately.

By converting this pen to an eyedropper, you can fill the entire barrel with ink for maximum ink capacity! All you need to do is add an o-ring and a small amount of silicone grease to the threads (available separately).

Always a good value!

Love that eyedroppering the pen is an option. The nib is smooth and the cap keeps the pen sealed so it always writes when I uncap anytime, no drying out. I also love that the grip section is round and it posts well. I love it!

Nice Fountain Pen

This fountain pen is perfect for beginners. It isn't like a heavy, well-built, expensive pen, but a light, easy to handle plastic pen. The price is phenomenal for a pen that writes this well.

Price matches pen

I bought for marking test paper (red ink only). Used it 2 times and it was enough for me. Even though it was an inexpensive pen, it does looks cheaply made, very scratchy, skips and the bar code on it kills it for me. Will keep for glitter ink or as an emergency backup.

Great pen

The preppy works very well and consistently. I do prefer the prefer the prefounte as I think that cap looks better, and the overall pen has a cleaner look - the preppy has the name in big letters on the side and also a barcode - the prefounte has no stamped barcode and the name is written nice and small on the cap. But nonetheless the preppy is a very good inexpensive pen.

Love this pen

This is a great inexpensive pen. I try to keep one on hand for shimmer inks because they flow smoothly with little clogging.
