The AP Limited Editions Writer Maki-e “Among the Stars” (Shiny Finish) transforms the night sky into liquid depth — where starlight doesn’t merely glow… it shimmers.

This is the same celestial composition as its matte counterpart — but here, the cosmos is polished to brilliance.

A High-Gloss Celestial Field

The base is a deep, obsidian black urushi lacquer, brought to a mirror-like shine through meticulous polishing. Beneath this luminous surface, fragments of iridescent raden and metallic maki-e are suspended in layered lacquer.

Under light, the effect is dramatic:
