From time immemorial, light has inspired artists, architects, and designers. These two new 849 colors are intertwined in a contrasting duet. Inspired by nocturnal light, the 849 Dark Violet symbolizes the glow that lets us see even in the deep darkness of a quiet night. The 849 Pastel Fluorescent Yellow embodies natural light, recalling the mellow but vibrant rays of the sun on a misty morning.

The Caran d'Ache Limited Edition ballpoint pens are a limited production of the popular 849 pen design featuring the well-known hexagonal pen shape and push button mechanism. The lightweight, durable aluminum body showcases the two limited edition colors with accents in their opposing color (the Pastel Neon Yellow pen has a Dark Violet "Swiss Made" marking near the flexible metal pen clip, and vice versa). Pens are finished with nickel-plated trim.
