The AP Limited Editions Urushi Lacquer Art Fountain Pen - Proplyd Fire (with Bamboo Clip) takes the vivid red character of the established Proplyd Fire finish and adds AP's sculptural bamboo-style clip for a more organic silhouette.

Urushi Finish

Multiple layers of natural urushi create the saturated red surface and the visual depth associated with traditional lacquer work. Rather than reading as a flat painted color, the finish develops subtle tonal variation as light moves across the cap and barrel.

Design & Writing Experience

The bamboo-inspired clip introduces a hand-worked, naturalistic counterpoint to the smooth lacquered body. A 14k gold nib provides the writing point, while the cartridge/converter filling system allows use with either bottled ink or compatible cartridges. This example is offered in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad nib choices.

One physical pen is available. Nib size is selected at the time of order.
