The AP Limited Editions Writer Maki-e “The Pride of Samurai” Fountain Pen is a dramatic tribute to Japan’s samurai tradition, channeling the strength, honor, and ceremonial grandeur of the warrior class. With a strictly limited production of just 9 pieces worldwide, this edition is crafted for the ultimate collector who values heritage, artistry, and precision.

Set against a deep black urushi lacquer barrel, the pen’s cap and body feature intricate maki-e work depicting samurai armor, kabuto helmets, katana hilts, and traditional warrior iconography. Using techniques such as Togidashi maki-e, the decoration includes white eggshell inlay, gold and blue raden, and layered lacquer textures to evoke metal plating, silk braiding, and leather straps found in authentic samurai gear.

Fitted with a Fine 14k gold nib and equipped with an ebonite feed, the Pride of Samurai provides luxurious writing performance alongside its aesthetic depth. Its cartridge/converter filling system ensures full flexibility while honoring its artisan roots.
