I am so sad - this beautiful pen only survived long enough for me to try it once. I do love it, but it did not survive a simple accident. When my pen was resting in a tray with 3 other nice fountain pens on an overcrowded desktop, I slid some things aside, accidentally tipping the pen tray off the desk onto the tile floor. My first thought was that the wood and resin pen tray would break - but no - nothing broke - except my luminous amber benu. The nib, grip, and converter are fine, but the cap and body have shattered into many pieces. the other 3 pens on the desk were also plastic/resin, but have no visible damage at all. Can I buy a new pen body by itself from benu? It was my prettiest pen and not cheap. BE CAREFUL with these delicate pens.
Love the blingy look, and it's a sweet writer too!
This pen is a stunner. It literally looks like an eclair served at a high end restaurant, with a dusting of gold flakes (alas, i don't frequent such establishments!). The Schmidt Iridium Nib is a gilded beauty. The Bold writes fairly smoothly, thought not as smoothly as a Kaweco Sport Bold (and slightly less broad, too). I took one star off my rating for the slightly scratchy writing experience out of the box. It comes with a long international standard cartridge, but i used the included converter to ink it with a Diamine ink and was happy with my result. Looking forward to collecting more gorgeous pens from this brand. Santa, I've been good!!
This is such a pretty pen that I get distracted just trying to write a note!!! Very comfortable in the hand...Great wrote! A beautiful, fun pen...good price!
Super great pen, just wondering where the ink replacement went?
