The Conklin All American Fountain Pen - Matte Black & Gunmetal pairs the All American's oversized, tapered profile with a monochromatic matte black resin body and dark gunmetal appointments. The result is a subdued, modern interpretation of one of Conklin's most recognizable contemporary fountain pen silhouettes.
The All American is deliberately substantial, with a broad resin body and gentle taper intended to distribute its size comfortably in the hand. The matte black surface minimizes glare and emphasizes the shape of the pen, while the gunmetal trim keeps the overall palette cohesive and understated. Conklin's rocker-style clip adds a distinctive vintage-inspired detail and provides secure everyday carry.
A #6 JoWo stainless steel nib is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, 1.1mm Stub, and Omniflex. The range covers precise note-taking through broader expressive writing, while the Omniflex option provides additional softness and modest line variation when used with controlled pressure.
The pen fills by standard international cartridge or threaded converter, giving writers the flexibility to use bottled ink or cartridges. Its screw cap and tapered grip section help balance the larger body, making the pen comfortable for both shorter notes and longer writing sessions.
Conklin traces its history to Toledo, Ohio in 1898, where the company became associated with practical fountain pen innovation. The modern All American collection revisits a historic Conklin name with contemporary resin construction, interchangeable modern nibs, and a cartridge/converter filling system suited to everyday use.
