This edition pays tribute to the Simbu people of Papua New Guinea, whose ceremonial traditions and striking visual symbolism inspired the pen’s sculptural skeletal motif.
The design references the Simbu’s legendary “Skeleton Dance,” a ritual in which warriors paint their bodies as skeletal spirits to intimidate enemies and honor their connection to the ancestral world. Delta translates this powerful imagery into an intricate skeletal armor overlay, wrapping the pen’s barrel in a lattice of “bones” that echoes the tribal body paint used during these ceremonies.
In the Gold Vermeil edition, this sculptural framework is crafted from solid 925 sterling silver and then plated in rich yellow gold, creating a luminous golden cage over the deep black resin barrel beneath. The overlay is produced using the lost-wax casting technique, allowing extraordinary detail and dimensional depth before being carefully hand-finished by artisans.
