Delta Indigenous People Rose Vermeil Fountain Pen – Simbu (Limited Edition)
The Delta Indigenous People Simbu Rose Vermeil Fountain Pen is a striking modern revival within Delta’s celebrated Indigenous People series — a collection dedicated to honoring the traditions, symbolism, and artistry of cultures around the world. The Simbu edition pays tribute to the indigenous Simbu tribe of Papua New Guinea, whose dramatic “Skeleton Dance” ritual inspired the pen’s distinctive design language.
Crafted in Italy, the pen features a precious white resin body dramatically encased in a skeletal framework of solid sterling silver plated in rose gold (rose vermeil). This intricate cage is created using the lost-wax casting technique and meticulously hand-finished, forming rib-like structures that echo the skeletal body painting worn during Simbu ceremonial dances.
The contrast between the luminous white resin and the warm rose-gold “bones” creates an unmistakable aesthetic that is both symbolic and visually captivating.
Further reinforcing the cultural narrative, the clip is sculpted from rose-gold-plated sterling silver and shaped to resemble a ceremonial tribal drum — a meaningful reference to the rhythms and rituals central to Simbu tradition.
Functionally, the Simbu Rose Vermeil is as impressive as its artistry. The pen is equipped with a large #8 14K gold nib paired with a red ebonite feed, delivering smooth, expressive writing with reliable ink flow. A built-in piston-filling system provides generous ink capacity and elevates the pen’s technical appeal beyond typical cartridge/converter luxury pens.
Produced in an extremely limited run of just 88 fountain pens worldwide, the Rose Vermeil variant represents one of the most exclusive interpretations of the Simbu design — combining cultural storytelling, precious materials, and Italian craftsmanship into a highly collectible writing instrument.
