The Diplomat Esteem Fountain Pen in Red brings a vivid lacquer finish to the collection's clean cylindrical profile. Beneath the glossy exterior is a brass body that gives the pen a reassuring 28 g weight, balancing everyday portability with a more substantial feel in the hand. A polished stainless steel nib completes a design intended to be straightforward, durable, and comfortable for regular writing.
The Esteem measures 135 mm closed and 155 mm with the cap posted, with a slim 12 mm diameter that keeps the silhouette streamlined. Brass provides the underlying structure and much of the pen's balanced weight, while the lacquered red finish gives the otherwise restrained form its visual character. The cap can be posted for writers who prefer additional length and rearward balance.
The Esteem is fitted with a polished stainless steel nib and is offered here in Fine, Medium, and Broad sizes. Fine favors controlled everyday notes, Medium provides a versatile general-purpose line, and Broad gives the ink more room to show on the page. Diplomat specifies the model for both right- and left-handed writers.
The pen uses a cartridge/converter filling system, allowing convenient ink cartridges or bottled fountain pen ink with a compatible converter. Diplomat supplies the Esteem with a blue cartridge, a presentation case, and a warranty card, and backs the model with a five-year warranty.
It's a lovely pen but I haven't inked it yet.

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
