The Montblanc Meisterstuck 145P Black & Platinum Fountain Pen offers the classic Meisterstuck aesthetic in a slimmer, cartridge/converter-filled format. Crafted from deep black precious resin and accented with platinum-coated trim, the 145P delivers the understated elegance of Montblanc's flagship writing-instrument family in proportions that are especially comfortable for writers who prefer a more refined, lightweight profile.
The cap and barrel are formed from Montblanc's black precious resin, finished with a platinum-coated clip and three platinum-coated rings engraved with the Montblanc name. The cap is crowned by the signature white Montblanc emblem, while the clip carries an individual serial number. This platinum-trimmed configuration is identified by Montblanc as the 145P; Montblanc reference MB106242 is associated with the Medium-nib version.
This example is fitted with a Medium 14k gold nib. Montblanc describes the nib as hand-crafted Au585 / 14k gold with a rhodium-coated inlay, giving the nib a bright finish that complements the platinum-colored furniture. Unlike the piston-filled Meisterstuck 146 and 149, the 145 uses a removable converter or ink cartridges, making it easy to clean, change inks, or travel with cartridges. Its slimmer dimensions and approximately 21.7-gram weight give the pen an agile, balanced feel in the hand.
This example is in very good pre-owned condition and is accompanied by a generic Montblanc presentation box. Please review the photographs for the most accurate representation of its cosmetic condition.
I had always wondered what a Montblanc would feel like. But until now, I felt they were much above my price range. So, when Truphae had a sale on used Montblancs I decided to stretch it just a bit.
I got the 145P in black and platinum as a similar one in gold was already taken.
I am happy with the condition of the pen. The nib looks great and so smooth it just glides on paper. The pen did not come with a converter, so when I mentioned it to Truphae, they immediately sent me a generic one that was compatible - at no cost.
Now, I will look for a 146 in fine or extra fine. I think the slightly larger pen will fit my hands even more comfortably.

Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
