I mulled over buying this pen for about 6 weeks and finally decided I had to have it. Great decision! The color is beautiful (I'm allergic to black pens 😁) and the overall weight, balance and detailing (nib design with the dragon!) are perfect. My only previous Montblanc experience is a Boheme which I also love. I'm glad to know that there's a reason these things are so expensive. - They even FEEL expensive!
For starters, I love this pen. I was waiting for something NOT in black or bourdeux to come out that wasn't a special edition or character edition and so on. This slate blue is incredible and subtle. The nib performs flawlessly. I was initially concerned about the balance with the metal ends, but alas my fears were unwarranted. The pen is quite well balanced posted or not. Add to all of this the SIX star (6 on a scale of 1 to 5, it goes one more!) customer service from Truphae. My order arrived far sooner than I expected.
