The Parker 45 Flighter Fountain Pen - Stainless Steel GT presents one of Parker's most successful cartridge-converter designs in a durable all-metal finish. Brushed stainless steel covers the cap and barrel, while gold-plated trim adds warmth to the arrow clip, clutch ring, and semi-hooded nib.
A Long-Running Parker Classic
Introduced in 1960, the Parker 45 was named for the Colt .45 and developed around the convenience of Parker's new cartridge system. Its simple construction, easily interchangeable nib unit, and dependable ink flow helped the model remain in production for more than four decades.
The Flighter was the upmarket stainless steel version of the 45. Parker traditionally used the Flighter name for metal-bodied pens designed to withstand regular handling, and the GT version added gold-plated details to the otherwise practical finish.
Writing Experience
The semi-hooded stainless steel Medium nib produces a controlled everyday line while limiting exposed metal around the feed. The pen accepts Parker cartridges or a compatible converter for bottled ink, and the slip cap allows quick access for regular writing.
