The Parker Insignia Ballpoint Pen - Black Lacquer GT presents the collection's slim, precision-focused form in a traditional black-and-gold finish. Gloss lacquer gives the narrow barrel greater visual depth, while gold-plated appointments define the arrow clip, center ring, crown, and writing point.
A Precision-Oriented Parker
Parker introduced the Insignia in 1991 as a new premium gift collection designed by Geoff Hollington. Its tightly controlled proportions, narrow body, and twist-action mechanism gave it a more tailored character than Parker's broader writing instruments. The Insignia also established design ideas Hollington would later develop further in the Sonnet and Parker 100.
Black Lacquer GT is one of the collection's most formal configurations. The polished surface reflects light more deeply than molded resin, while the warm trim provides enough contrast to make the slender silhouette visually complete.
Writing Experience
The twist-action mechanism extends the point through a smooth rotation of the upper barrel, preserving the clean crown without an external push button. The pen accepts Parker-style ballpoint refills, allowing a choice of compatible ink colors and point widths.
