The Parker Duofold Ballpoint Pen - Grey Pearl combines the commanding proportions of Parker's modern flagship with a marbled acrylic that changes character as it turns in the light. Silver, charcoal, and pearl-grey tones move through the body in irregular layers, framed by gold-plated trim and the broad Parker arrow clip.
A Distinctive Mark II Finish
Grey Pearl entered the Duofold range in 1998 during the Mark II generation of the modern collection. The revised Duofold used more tapered ends, balanced ring details, and a dedicated crown emblem, refining the design Parker had revived in the late 1980s. The finish remained available until 2004, giving it a clearly defined place within the Newhaven-made Duofold chronology.
The acrylic is more than a color treatment. Its pattern runs through the material rather than sitting on the surface, creating depth that cannot be reproduced by flat paint or lacquer. Each pen therefore presents a slightly different arrangement of veining and tonal contrast.
Writing Experience
