The Parker Jotter Fountain Pen - Metallic Red and Satin Silver CT pairs a vivid red barrel with a brushed stainless steel cap, polished arrow clip, and the clean proportions of Parker's compact cartridge-converter design. The metallic finish gives this discontinued French-made example greater depth than a conventional solid red resin.
From the Parker 15 to the Jotter
This fountain pen belongs to the design family originally introduced as the Parker 15. During the early 1980s, Parker began integrating the model into the Jotter collection in the United States, although the Parker 15 name remained in use longer in other markets. The informal Jotter 15 designation acknowledges both stages of its production history.
The Special CT configuration combined a molded colored barrel with a stainless steel cap, chrome-plated appointments, and a steel nib. Metallic Red adds visual movement, while the satin cap provides a cooler and more restrained contrast.
Writing Experience
This example is fitted with a stainless steel Medium nib. Its firm, controlled point is suited to correspondence, journaling, and everyday notes. The cartridge-converter system accepts Parker cartridges or bottled fountain pen ink through a compatible converter.
Collector Perspective
The metallic red finish and French production give this pen more character than the commonly encountered black and blue examples. It also records the period when the Parker 15 identity was gradually absorbed into the broader Jotter family.
