Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Red is a classic red fountain pen ink built around the long-running 4001 formula. The color is bright and direct, giving handwriting a clear red presence without the added shimmer, sheen, or specialty effects found in more decorative inks.
Writing Character
Pelikan developed the 4001 line for dependable fountain pen use, with an emphasis on even flow, consistent color, and straightforward maintenance. Brilliant Red works well for annotation, editing, correspondence, and everyday writing when a clean red tone is preferred. It is suitable for Pelikan piston fillers as well as cartridge/converter fountain pens that accept bottled ink.
Pelikan 4001 Heritage
The 4001 family is one of Pelikan's longest-standing ink lines and reflects the company's origins as an ink manufacturer. Its appeal is practical rather than ornamental: proven formulas, recognizable colors, and reliable performance across a broad range of fountain pens.
