The Platinum #3776 Century Fuji Unkei Kasumi Fountain Pen interprets the shifting mist that gathers around Mount Fuji through the clean geometry of Platinum’s flagship #3776 Century platform. The design balances translucent green resin with a clear patterned barrel, creating a pen that feels light and atmospheric without sacrificing the disciplined proportions that define the series.
Kasumi takes its name from the Japanese word for mist. The clear barrel is decorated with a repeating pattern inspired by drifting haze, producing subtle changes in reflection as the pen turns in the hand. Translucent green elements at the cap and section introduce a natural counterpoint to the demonstrator body, while rhodium-toned trim keeps the presentation cool and restrained.
The #3776 Century platform is built around Platinum’s 14k gold nib and Slip & Seal cap system, a combination designed to keep the nib ready to write even after periods of rest. The cartridge/converter filling system makes ink changes simple, while this particular listing offers an unusually broad range of nib choices: Ultra Extra Fine, Extra Fine, Fine, Soft Fine, Medium, Broad, and Coarse. That range makes Kasumi equally compelling for precise everyday writing, expressive broad strokes, or collectors who enjoy Platinum’s more specialized nib grades.
Kasumi is part of Platinum’s Fuji Unkei series and was produced in a limited edition of 3,000 pieces worldwide. Each pen carries an individual serial number and is presented in special Fuji-series packaging, reinforcing its position as a collector-focused interpretation of the #3776 Century rather than a routine color release.
