The Platinum Procyon Luster Fountain Pen - Black Mist gives the modern Procyon platform a subdued, softly textured finish designed to reveal its shape rather than reflect its surroundings. The black aluminum body is framed by bright silver-tone trim, creating a practical pen with a composed professional character.
Named for the bright star Procyon, the collection was developed around three functional improvements: a resilient pentagonal steel nib, a feed that can draw ink from a shallow bottle, and Platinum's Slip & Seal cap system. Together, these features make the pen especially dependable for intermittent everyday use.
The Luster series refines the standard Procyon with a smoother, more tactile surface treatment. Black Mist minimizes glare and visually softens the metal body, while the polished clip and cap band provide clear structural contrast.
The stainless steel Fine nib offers a controlled line with a degree of spring uncommon in many entry-level steel nibs. Platinum's deep feed inlet allows the nib to fill from low ink levels, while the Slip & Seal inner cap helps prevent evaporation and hard starts after periods of storage.
The pen accepts proprietary Platinum cartridges and a compatible converter, sold separately where not included. Its aluminum body provides a balanced feel without excessive weight, and the threaded cap may be posted.

Drop Shipping: In the event of errors in our on-hand inventory or to expedite delivery, some items may be drop shipped directly from our US distributors. This means that these items will be shipped directly from the distributor's warehouse to your designated shipping address.

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
