The Sailor Professional Gear Fountain Pen - Imperial Black presents the full-size Pro Gear in a nearly monochromatic finish of matte black resin, dark ion-plated trim, and a matching black 21k gold nib. The restrained palette shifts attention away from bright decoration and toward the pen's carefully proportioned flat-top silhouette.

A Monochromatic Professional Gear

The Professional Gear is Sailor's flat-ended counterpart to the rounded 1911 series. Imperial Black gives the familiar shape a technical, understated personality through matte resin and smoky black ion plating across the clip, bands, and nib. Subtle differences in surface sheen keep the pen from appearing visually flat.

The 21k Sailor Nib

Sailor's 21k gold nib is one of the defining features of its full-size premium pens. The Fine point produces a controlled line suited to compact handwriting and detailed notes, accompanied by the precise pencil-like feedback for which Sailor nibs are known. Black ion plating visually integrates the nib with the rest of the pen.

Writing Experience

The cartridge-converter system accepts proprietary Sailor cartridges or bottled ink through the included converter. A screw cap protects the nib, and the resin body provides a balanced feel that remains comfortable either posted or unposted.
