The Sailor Professional Gear Slim Blue Cobra Fountain Pen gives the compact Professional Gear platform a darker, more contemporary personality. Created as an exclusive colorway, Blue Cobra combines cool blue resin with dark-toned appointments, allowing the familiar flat-top Sailor silhouette to feel markedly different from the brand's traditional black-and-gold pens.

Craftsmanship & Design

The Professional Gear Slim retains Sailor's signature cut-away cap and barrel ends, anchor medallion, threaded cap, and lightweight PMMA construction. The Blue Cobra treatment emphasizes contrast: saturated blue resin supplies the color while the darker trim keeps the pen visually restrained. Its compact proportions make it easy to carry without sacrificing the visual presence of a premium Sailor fountain pen.

Writing Experience

This example is fitted with Sailor's 14k Music nib. Unlike a conventional round Medium or Broad, Sailor's Music point is designed to lay down a broad, expressive line with natural variation depending on writing angle and direction. The cartridge-converter system keeps filling simple and allows easy changes between bottled inks.

Blue Cobra is of particular interest to collectors of North American and retailer-exclusive Sailor releases, especially in the less common Music configuration.
