The Sailor x Ancora Pearlescent Blue-Green Fountain Pen is a boutique collaboration built around a luminous, iridescent white body with soft blue-green accents at the finials. The pale finish shifts subtly as light moves across the resin, giving the pen a pearlescent quality rather than the flat appearance of a conventional opaque white body.

Craftsmanship & Design

The compact Sailor resin construction is paired with a screw cap and polished trim, while light blue detailing at the cap top and barrel finial provides a cool contrast against the pale body. The color placement keeps the design understated when capped, then makes the collaboration feel more distinctive when viewed from different angles.

Writing Experience

This example is fitted with a 14k gold Fine nib. The Fine point offers the controlled, precise line associated with Sailor's smaller gold nibs, while the cartridge/converter system makes the pen easy to use with either proprietary cartridges or bottled ink through a compatible converter.

Collaboration Character

The appeal of this piece lies less in overt decoration than in its material effect. The pearlescent body and blue-green accents create a soft, almost aquatic palette that feels noticeably different from Sailor's standard solid resin finishes while preserving the proportions and writing character familiar to the brand's compact gold-nib pens.
