The Sheaffer Imperial 827 Gold Barleycorn Fountain Pen is a 1970s American-made Imperial distinguished by its finely textured gold electroplated finish and Sheaffer’s signature inlaid gold nib. The barleycorn pattern gives the cap and barrel a crisp, jewelry-like surface while the black section provides a strong visual contrast.
Period references identify the Imperial 827 as a gold electroplated model made in the United States during the 1970s. The barleycorn texture is paired with the classic Sheaffer White Dot and an inlaid nib design closely associated with the Imperial family.
This example carries a 14k gold Medium nib. The cartridge/converter filling system allows the pen to use Sheaffer cartridges or a compatible converter for bottled ink.
The pen is in excellent to near-mint pre-owned condition. It shows only light tarnish on the barrel and is otherwise exceptionally well preserved. No original box or papers are included.

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
