Each S.T. Dupont Line D Sunburst rollerball pen is crafted at the S.T. Dupont factory in Faverges, France using ancient Japanese and Chinese techniques. After up to 9 layers of sumptuous natural lacquer are hand-painted onto the brass pen barrel leaving a pearl-like shimmer and a luxurious finish resistant to shocks, scratches, and even fire, the pens are polished. After they are polished, each pen is sprayed with an additional pearlescent lacquer in small spurts to create the unique "burst" effect.

The Sunburst rollerball pen features a black natural lacquer with gold pearlescent spray and gold trim.

The S.T. Dupont Sunburst pens unique finish is applied to the iconic oversize Line D design. Recently remodeled with a new, bold blazon on the articulated clip, an enhanced Dupont 'D' in the crown of the cap, and a perfectly balanced shape for exceptional writing, the Line D is a wonderful foundation for this stellar pen. The pen cap closes with Dupont's iconic 'cling' and features a fluted grip section for a superb writing experience.
