The Visconti Mirage Mythos Fountain Pen - Odysseus opens a new chapter in the Mythos collection, moving from the gods of Olympus to one of Greek mythology’s most enduring heroes. Inspired by Odysseus and his long journey home to Ithaca, the design pairs deep Mediterranean blues and turquoise tones with warm gold-plated accents for a pen that feels adventurous, luminous, and unmistakably Visconti.
Craftsmanship & Design
The Odysseus body is crafted from sandblasted acrylic resin with swirling blue, turquoise, and iridescent veining intended to evoke the changing waters of the Mediterranean. Brass trim with yellow-gold plating adds warmth and contrast, while the bridge-style Visconti clip preserves one of the brand’s most recognizable visual signatures.
The central band is engraved with “MYTHOS” and a stylized Visconti V shaped to recall the outline of Mount Olympus, maintaining the collection’s connection to the mythological world that inspired it.
Writing Experience
The fountain pen is fitted with Visconti’s large stainless steel nib with gold plating and is available in Fine, Medium, and Broad. A metal grip section gives the pen a substantial feel in hand, while the cartridge/converter filling system makes ink changes straightforward and flexible.
A magnetic cap closure completes the design, allowing the pen to open and close with Visconti’s characteristic snap while keeping the silhouette clean and uninterrupted.
Mythos Heritage
Odysseus represents courage, intelligence, curiosity, and determination—qualities Visconti uses to extend the Mirage Mythos story beyond the gods and into the world of Greek heroes. The sea-inspired palette and gold-toned details translate that narrative into a practical writing instrument with a strong visual identity.
