Like other reviewers I was unimpressed with this pen's appearance. Shame they changed to the black accents, previous was all silver. Why is there no sterling marking on barrel or cap? Hallmarking is important! I let it sit uninked thinking "maybe it'll grow on me." It didn't; but reviews said it was an excellent writer. At this price point it should be. It lays down a nice fine line (F nib) and there are no hard starts, nib is smooth but not particularly impressive. Doubt it will be in my rotation, just not aesthetically pleasing. I received it in a subscription box. Frankly wish I'd returned it.
I received this pen in my subscription box and at first was nonplussed. I had never heard of Waldmann. I decided to give it a shot however because the pens in my boxes have all been wonderful writers. I discovered upon use that this pen is delightful. I have small to average size hands for a woman and this pen is slim and elegant. It fits well in my hand and feels light and easy. The nib writes nicely smooth and consistently. The silver design is classic and ageless.
Additionally, it has a place for engraving and would make a beautiful graduation or achievement gift.
I received this in my monthly box and was SO disappointed as it just doesn't do it for me aesthetically.... BUT it has become one of my favourite pens because it writes like a dream and is so comfortable to hold. Just amazing. It glides across the paper. I now find myself reaching for this pen before some of my other favourites. It's also one of my thinnest pens, which means I can put it in a pen loop in my planner. And the way it looks has grown on me!
